Wondering what theBetasymbol means?

The Cambridge Dictionary is growing all the time.

We’re continually adding new online sources to our corpus – a very large database of English.

Using this database, we’re adding tens of thousands of example sentences to words we already have in our dictionary, so that you can see clearly how the words are used. We’re also creating new pages full of example sentences for words we haven’t included before.

When you suggest a definition, only you will see it until the Cambridge Dictionary team reviews it. Once it is approved, other users will be able to see it and vote on it.
